I thought of this little "story"  last Monday for this week's [info]sim_scenes , and only managed to start putting it into pictures tonight.  A little bit rushed, and I see things that might not be entirely clear, but at least it's out of my head!  lol... The prompt words are New Friend, Optimism, and Creativity.

Never Work With Children Or Animals

I hope it's clear the guy was painting a still life when the dog interrupted him.  D:  And I figure the dog represents the "optimism"  part.  Since he's determined to find something that guy won't throw back.  lol

Of course I see a bunch of things I should have done different, but if anyone has any suggestions on how this could have been better, please let me know!   :D  I live to learn.

So he was trying to get the dog away by throwing the stick, but it kept coming back? Okay. I just want to know why he was painting a thing you use to learn about human organs with, with the musical stuff.
Oh, and I like the guy's hair.

Yeah, the initial stick-throw was to get rid of the dog. And lol, he's an artsy goth type, so I figured he'd paint stuff like anatomy mannequins. ;D

I checked, and the hair is called AG09 by Aikea Guinea @ TSR. That might point you towards it if you want it. :)

Well I love all the objects the dog brings him :) And I got the first part, about the dog interrupting him; but then I got a little lost. Did the dog give him the idea to add the violin to his painting?

The idea is that he tried to get rid of the dog, but the dog kept bringing back random stuff instead of the stick. And yeah, the violin inspired the guy to use it in the painting. Because all creepy paintings are better with a violin in them. lol (I might be making that up)

LOL, that was funny. I think at the brick slide I started laughing and didn't stop.

And where the heck does a dog find a violin?

Thanks! :D I was going for a comic edge so I'm relieved someone laughed.

lol I have no idea where the dog got the violin. I'm wondering where he got a romance novel and that other crap, too. heh

Ah, this word you speak: "genius". ;D lol Thanks Jamie. I don't know about the genius part, I'm glad it turned out like I imagined it though.

That guy's expressions are just so spot on, especially the one where he throws the "Man-maid Lust" away in seemingly disgust. :D

Thanks Shadey! :D I love that face overlay box. Though that expression of disgust he did all on his own when he threw the 'stick'. lol

Having to tell the story without words means I have to rely on the Sims' facial expression and body language. It involves a lot of slow motion to catch just the right moment.

lol Thanks, I'm glad you found it funny! :D I think I spent a full hour just sticking stuff in the dog's mouth, looking for the silliest things to use.

This was so great! I've been a little out of the loop the past few days, but eee! This was nice to find when I came back.

I'm also very glad to see you around a bit more lately. :)

Thanks, Cait! :D I'm trying to be more "visible" again. I was so far out of the loop, it was just a speck in the distance from where I was. :P I miss my simmy buddies.

Roflol I loved the various items the dog brought back, and admire the patience it takes to edit them all in.

Nice custom painting, btw.

So pets, huh... Remind me to upload Payne for you. As soon as I unpack my PC at home.

Mi! <3 So good to see you! I've been wondering how you are.

"Edit"? If that means that I used OMSPs while the game was paused and went through looking for just the right one to make the item look like it was in the dog's mouth. Actually, I wish I had thought to photo edit. D: The one thing I had to do that with was the stick in the air. For some reason that particular stick kept going invisible when I grabbed it. :P

*O__O* omg i finally get to have payne... *hyperventilate*

Yeah, I've been pretty out of it. Work has been hectic (which is actually a pretty good thing) and the whole pregnancy-thing, as well as the moving-thing was... well, I'm sure you can imagine.

Which leaves me with no time whatsoever, and plenty of things to unpack still. Not to mention a husband who now wants to catch up on 'cuddle time' which we might not have when baby will be born.

So I doubly admire your patience in OMSP'ing the various objects in. And extracting some of them. wow.

Ironically, a couple of chapters are already written out. It their entirety. I just need to stage the pictures... and get the kiddies to be the right age for them. Since I haven't played, plenty of plotz have piled up so I'm seriously looking forward to some very, very serious gaming. Which in my opinion, can never be an oxymoron ;)

This was a cute little story.
Too funny the dog bringing back Sir Bricks a Lot!
I saw the "behind the scenes " too.
So creative Fuzzy!
That "Control Pets on/off" will be very handy if you add animals later.
