Specter Funeral Home and Interment Gardens

I shared this over on my Tumblr, and figured I'd post it here too so it's easier to find again.

This is a 3x4 community lot built entirely without custom content. I have the Ultimate Collection, so it might contain objects from any and all EPs. Checked and repackaged with Clean Installer to insure it’s a clean lot.

Here is the layout of the main building (the funeral home). It has pretty much everthing as actual funeral home would have. The carport is for a hearse, though you'll have to add that yourself. (You might need to use the move objects cheat and to get it centered on the driveway, possibly 'setquartertileplacement on' - which then requires ctrl+F to activate once turned on.)

Lobby. I didn't photograph several of the rooms because those are kinda boring. There's a lot about this community lot that isn't very exciting, but I wanted a place to send graves that was a little different than a typical "cemetery" in the neighborhood.

Showroom. NOTE: Do not put actual urns of deceased Sims on the Open for Business shelves! It might cause the game to duplicate the grave and maybe the character file. Use decorative urns if you want something a little more authentic looking than the vases I used.

The prep room. Which is of course just for looks. Since there won't actually be any preparing of the recently deceased for burial....

Where the floral arrangements are made and stored.

The chapel. That table is for the urn of the most recently dearly departed. Using one of the career reward podiums would probably look better than the mic.  Also, this is okay for staging a funeral for photo purposes, but Sims won't be able to actually "watch" whoever is at the microphone because the stage is considered a separate room for some stupid reason which totally misses the whole point of having a stage builder in the game.
Maxis really didn't think that through. -_-

A view of the interment gardens. There's lots of family plots that can be changed or moved to fit your needs. Inside the crypt...

Inside the crypt is intended for urns. NOTE: I highly recommend having Pescado's No Unlink on Delete in your downloads folder to prevent neighborhood corruption should a grave or urn be accidentally deleted or goes missing. You should not put urns on the Open for Business shelves, but other shelves, like these, are supposed to be okay. If you don't trust putting your urns on any shelves, then replace them with end tables or counters or whathaveyou.

View of the gardens looking toward the main building. Upon testing, the lot does seem to offer enough "entertainment" that Sims will stick around for a long while. Feel free to change things however you like!

Thanks! :D I think I like building because it's a creative outlet that doesn't involve having to clean up afterwards. XD

Great work, Fuzzy, the lot is so very pretty! Goes to show how it's possible to use the game in creative ways. :)
