The other day over on my Tumblr I mentioned that I was conducting a little experiment. Sort of like in the movie Groundhog Day, I would make one sim relive the same exact day over and over again just to see what (if anything) happened differently. I had intended to make this last for 20 or more replays of the same day, but it turns out my patience and general mental well-being ended at 10. Which is just as well because it's way too many pictures as it is!

THE PLAN: Make a sim in CAS and then plop her into a house in Pleasantview. I will play her through one day (Monday) then exit the lot without saving when she goes to bed at night. Then reload the lot and do it all over again. And again. And agaaaiiiin. D:

Her personality and Aspiration and turn ons were randomized by rolling a dice. I named her Wednesday Friday. :P

I have ACR set to auto-assign gender preferences, so it will reset her every day and randomize any sim who comes to the lot who doens't have a preference already. I wasn't sure if that would make any difference (depending on who was in the welcome wagon) but it turns out that made things a lot more interesting.

The only commands I will give her are to greet the Welcome Wagon and the Garden Club representative when they arrive. I'll also give a command to prepare a meal at some point if it looks like she's not going to do it herself (mostly so her guests don't leave). It's entirely free will otherwise!
It turns out that her routine before the Garden Club person arrived was exactly the same every day:

She'd watch TV, then drink from the juice keg, then use the bathroom, then write in her diary (on Monday #9 she actually mixed it up a bit by getting in the hot tub instead of writing in the diary). I had no idea if the same Garden Club member or the same Welcome Wagon would show up every day, or if they'd be different...

It turns out Katy McGraw was the GC member who came every single day.

At some point Wednesday had turned on the stereo, so she spent two hours trying desperately to interact with Katy who just wanted to Smustle. Then the Welcome Wagon arrived...

On this first day it was Darren Dreamer, Nina Caliente, and Talin Deppiesse. It turns out Wednesday has two bolts with Darren but she spent the day trying to friendly hug Talin (who randomized gay today) with no luck.

The first day was my "control" day and things were relatively uneventful and boring. Which worried me because I was afraid things would pretty much play out exactly the same way every day after. *Exit to Neighborhood* "Do you want to save your game?" *NO* *Reload Lot*

The second day was not boring. Today it was Katy who Wednesday tried to befriend with unwanted hugs. The Welcome Wagon arrived and again consisted of Darren and Nina. But instead of Talin it was Ethan Barrett who came along.

And Wednesday has two bolts with him. So of course flirting commenced almost immediately...

That is until Katy made her presence known.

After that Ethan rejected all of Wednesday's flirts!

SO, you'll notice Nina seems just a wee bit disgusted by this development. It actually has nothing at all to do with Ethan...

It's all because Nina has no idea how to introduce herself to a person without making them hate her right out of the gate...

It's kind of dysfunctionaly adorable in a way. Katy was by far her favorite nose to flick...

So there was a lot of this over the course of the 10 times we all had to relive this day.

Enemies were made. Fighting ensued.

Then just as things were calming down and everyone was being civil in the hot tub, it started raining and lightning caught the tree on fire. So of course everyone's first instinct is to run out there and stand under the blazing branches. -_-

And so this is how the second day ended. Nina and Katy were ripping out each other's hair again and Wednesday realized that standing under a burning tree was just too crazy. :P
The third day was not as exciting.
The third Welcome Wagon person was Phil Jitmakusol...

There were rejected hugs, rejected flirts, and Nina being Nina.
The next Welcome Wagon tag-along was Charlie Tang. He came with Darren and Nina on days 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. So I have no idea if it should have been the same Townie all along and my game is messed up, or if it's just random. It was always Darren and Nina though.

But it was on Monday #4 when Darren and Wednesday finally noticed the other existed.

They ended up with a crush on each other, but it's the only time this ever happened between them.
Days 5 and 7 were a lot more interesting! Both Katy and Wednesday were randomized as gay on Monday #5 (and gay and bi on day 7). They have two bolts so none of those hugs or flirts were rejected...

Nina of course wasn't going to let Katy get away with slapping her because of those friendly nose flicks she so lovingly doles out to everyone.

The day ended with Katy and Wednesday in crush with each other.
Monday #6 was pretty boring but on 7...

Nina was preoccupied with Darren most of the day so that gave Katy more time...

To get a couple of important "firsts" in her memory panel. It seems a little late in life to be checking this stuff off the bucket list, but I guess we all do stuff at out own speed.
Monday #8, it was pretty much back to "normal"...

On Monday #9...

It was Phil back with Darren and Nina.

Man, is he an obvious dye job, or what.
THE LAST DAY, that I could stand to keep doing this... Monday #10. Yet another new Townie came along with the Welcome Wagon...

Sinjin Couderc. Or something.

Rover here happened to be on the lot when I had Wednesday "Greet Everyone" so he hung around for a while. He was a huge distraction for Nina who spent nearly all the rest of the day playing razzle with him. So she didn't get a chance to flick anyone's nose. I thought maybe things were going to end on a quiet note.
And then Wednesday served some mac and cheese around 8 PM...

I'm not entirely sure how she got that off the stove and into a bowl while the whole thing was blazing...

And THEN I realized I had forgotten to put a flippin fire alarm in the house! I was genuinely worried that Wednesday wasn't going to get the fire under control (while her guests blissfully remain ignorant to the inferno just on the other side of the wall) because it had spread all the way over to the sink before it started getting extinguished.

And one more visit from the Therapist...

And I'm calling this experiment DONE. I have absolutely no idea what I learned from it... I might have even lost a few brain cells in the process. o_O
I checked Wednesday's relationships every night when she went to bed and they worked out as such:

I find it interesting that her chemistry compatibility changed with Darren like it did. And I guess I did learn that Wednesday is completely incapable of making a friend unless she is romantically involved with the person because no one wants a friendly hug 2 seconds after they meet you. :P
Here's one last picture before I end this (I know, like it's needs one more!). Over the course of the 10 Mondays, this one topic of conversation would prove to be the most controversial...

"I haven't seen it yet, so shut up about what happened on The Walking Dead this week!"
