Hold My Beer! 3.2 (and final heir poll)

fuzzysporkThis will be all done once I know who the heir is and I can play them to adulthood! All the kids are teens now, and what follows is 4 or 5 Sim days worth of me alternating between rolling my eyes and having an anxiety attack.

You have no idea how much I squinted and squirmed at this! I nearly cut my own thumb off last year with a chef knife, so this was like the worst PTSD attack I've had since. *SHUDDER*
Anyway, that might be the worst thing you see in this update... but probably not. D:
SO, quick recap of who lives here. Starting with the parents, Edna (the heir) and Eric (the resident fish coroner).
The oldest is Earl, and the youngest is Elvis. Who is due to become a teen in just a day.
In between them are one set of twins, Everett and Ellie.
The second set of twins are Elmer and Enolia. They are this generation's illegitimates, having been fathered by Jason Greenman.
*UNPAUSE*
We start with the kids getting home from school and bringing with them various NPC teens.
Everett managed to score his first kiss with this one. Her name is Brooke. (Don't forget her...)
But right now, please note what's going on outside the window in the hot tub....
Earl and Meadow have been "a thing" since he first became a teen. But ignore them and please note what is going on behind them!
That teen girl, Arcadia has been trying to get her first kiss from Eric since the last update. And now that Edna is at work, she succeeded!
"Oh crap, what have I done?!"
Oh you tell me Eric. I can't believe you let that Lolita kiss you.
But that's not all she does! Arcadia lured Eric into the hot tub and started putting the moves on him...
And he was being all too receptive! I was gnawing on my freakin fingernails just then as I was watching the clock knowing Edna was due to show up on the lot any second...
She had to do that "I'M HOME" thing which delayed her actually "arriving" home for a few more seconds...
Eric hopped right out of the hot tub at that point! Before Arcadia could coax him into doing more. Though she did manage to get a make-out from him before Edna came home.
Try not to look too smug Eric. She's a conniving little tart who is playing your older-man ego!
Well, this is all kinds of awkward. D: Not only is Arcadia sitting there with Edna (possibly even trying to play footsie with Eric), but Elmer is making a booty call in the background. He's making a booty call to Earl's girlfriend! Earl is sitting RIGHT THERE.
Meadow showed up, but she put the stopper on any touchy-feely stuff.
Elmer, and his hormonal Family/Romance need for some lovin, apparently thought that if the flirt didn't work, maybe the First Kiss would...
NOPE.
She's loyal to Earl, it seems! After the second rejection Elmer gave up for the night.
The kids are at school and Edna's heading back to work. That leaves ONE sim in the house for the first time since I can remember!
It's also Eric's birthday, so I had him age up after he restocked (again) the fish tank.
He's really not doing well these days! D: But all his wants are ridiculous (mostly involving the kids going to college) and there's too much going on in the house with so many uncontrollable teens that I can't take my eyes away from them long enough to have he and Edna go on a date.
So while Eric is alone, I have him "make many" group sandwich meals on speed three...
Then he suddenly loses a huge chunk of aspiration. D: I'm guessing he was fearing one of the kids getting a D report card or something like that...
And he's a Sim I've had full control of all this time. Go me. e__e
Anyway, the teens all brought home the usual "friends" from school. Everett and his maybe-girlfriend are playing pool... This looks just like the other day.
Gah, exactly like the other day! Arcadia didn't waste any time getting into the hot tub and asking Eric to join her. When he was done with the Therapist visit he was all too willing to oblige.
But Edna works different hours now, so she was home earlier than before...
And Eric jumped right the hell out of the hot tub! I don't think I've ever seen him move so fast!
Wow. I see what's going on here; he's perfectly amiable to Arcadia's advances when Edna is not on the lot, but won't allow any hanky-panky when Edna's around. Hm.
Arcadia's not giving up though! Eric is on his way around to the front to congratulate Edna...
Arcadia keeps popping up kissy stuff in Eric's queue and finally manages to break him away from his kicky-bag game with Ellie...
But Edna is RIGHT THERE, so he stops her!
"OH GOD please help me! I know you can make this stop!"
Haha, sorry Eric, but I'm having too much fun watching you barely keep yourself out of hot water.
"You have some nerve, young lady! Coming onto me when you know I'm married!"

Since this whole update is in danger of becoming the "Eric Show" (too late?) I should take a look at what the other kids are up to...
Or maybe I shouldn't look at what they are doing. e___e
At least Earl and Meadow are a steady couple and not tempted to stray...
Elmer still has the unrequited hots for Meadow, though...
And she is still not letting him try anything with her! (Okay, I kinda like Meadow. Earl found him a good one.)

Whew, it's Saturday (no friends getting off the bus today!), and it's Elvis's birthday. I decided to finally book them a vacation for the next day to Three Lakes, where they have that nice hunting land that no one has ever seen...
GAH. Edna managed to make JUST enough money working to cover the airfare, leaving the Hicks with about 200 simoleons in the bank.
Also, Eric won't be joining them...
Because he's not feeling well right now (and they can't afford an eighth plane ticket, AND someone has to stay behind and watch the dogs since they aren't allowed to hire a nanny... as if they could afford one now anyway).
That night sweet little Elvis grows up...
He rolled Knowledge, which automatically disqualifies him for heir. Oh shoot. Oh well. He got Family as his secondary aspiration and wants to become a City Planner.
Bright and early the next morning the airport shuttle arrives.
Once they are finally in Three Lakes... I have to watch them noogie, rock-paper-scissors, and punch-you-punch-me out at the road for the next 4 sim hours. The lot is FULL of all kinds of fun things to do! Gah.
Well, since they have a map to the Hidden Burrow, they might as well go see Bigfoot while it's still daylight!
Okay... WELL. Just as proof of my ineptitude they arrived at Bigfoot's place to discover...
It's just an empty lot. >_<
You see, I installed all clean neighborhoods to prevent gobs of annoying BV townies, Downtownies and Dormies from spawning in my legacy 'hood and bogging down the neighborhood character folder. I guess I didn't realize that would also render all of the vacation lots empty, despite them still being what they say they are. Except without buildings and stuff. D:
It also turns out that every SINGLE ONE OF THEM has a fear of meeting Bigfoot! Every one EXCEPT Elvis. So I was rather relieved when that's who Bigfoot decided to peg with a water balloon rather than one of the others. D:
No point staying here if they can't even fish or anything. *sigh*
When they were back at the hunting land, I spotted a walk-by, which is odd when this is supposed to be an empty 'hood. It was Everett's girlfriend, Brooke. o_O She also did that chest pound thing all over the place and started the Slap Dance. O_o So she's a BV townie?
Anyway... Brooke ended up NEVER LEAVING after Edna greeted her that day.
The next day I was starting to doze off here in my chair because vacation can be boring enough as it is, but when there's NOWHERE for them to go, it's even worse! I also noticed every one of them had a want to go on a tour. So hoping the game would spawn me a Tour Guide I had them all walk to a community lot...
Which of course was empty. But yay! A Tour Guide! They can go on one of those logging adventures...
HOLY HECK. They can't afford that! There's only 200 simoleons in their account! D: I guess it's been a long time since I've done a vacation and I forgot just how bloody expensive it is.
"Brooke, it's been three days. Why the hell are you still here?"
Well, this whole adventure was a bust, I guess. I've never been so happy to see 3 days come to an end...
Back home, it was all the same old same old.
Then Eric pointed out that Edna is now permaplat because she filled up her Lifetime Aspiration meter. Awesome!
Then he promptly passed right out. o__o
Now that she's able to, I had Edna tell Tequila to eat the Kibble of Life. I don't usually do this but both dogs are elderly and Tequila is just a smidgeon away from death. I need two dogs on the lot at the end of the challenge and this solution is just easier at this point than trying to get another dog to move in!
UGH, Enolia you had to bring Arcadia home with you?!

Actually four of them brought a friend home today! So the house is really full of teenagers right now...
Oh man. BOTH Enolia and Elvis have "first kiss" activated in their queue for that boy who Ellie is talking to! (and yes, Elvis got randomized as gay) I checked ACR and Marcel there is bi, so this will be interesting. Both Enolia and Elvis have two bolts for him, too. The suspense of waiting to see who gets to him first was making me gnaw my fingernails again!
Enolia for the win! But Elvis is still waiting patiently for his turn. Aww...
Ack, Ellie got to Marcel before him! Not with a kiss, though, since she has negative chemistry with Marcel. Unfortunately this caused Elvis's "first kiss" action to time out for the moment...
I was momentarily distracted by the sound of swirling hearts - oh god what now....
Ah! FINALLY Elmer finds a girl to kiss who isn't his brother's girlfriend!
I went to check on Elvis's progress towards his own first kiss, but found him on the computer. Then I went looking for Marcel and...

Though, honestly, I'm surprised it's ONLY happened twice in three generations. D:
The next day while all the kids are at school (except of course the one who so purposely got herself knocked up) Edna got to have her birthday. And after I bought the cake I immediately regretted it because that left them with less than 150 simoleons! (and the fridge is empty again)
Oh gosh, that outfit won't do. D: But they have no money! So she'll be wearing whatever is in the closet that best suits her.
WHEW. This is where I'm going to have to leave things, because Earl is now only one day away from turning adult and I need to know who the heir is!

He's the quintessential Family / GC combo! He has kept the family well fed because he will make a platter of grilled cheese sandwiches at least once a day. Unfortunately he's in the red right now because he rarely ever has a want to eat one! His girlfriend is smitten though, and has remained a loyal Earl Girl even though younger, cuter brother Elmer has been putting the moves on her.
Ellie Hicks
Romance / Grilled Cheese
Really, you wouldn't know she was either! She spends all her time cleaning and giving noogies. That's pretty much the extent of her existence! But she's somehow not in the red, I think because she manages a small boost every now and again from eating a grilled cheese sandwich (that Earl made - she has never made them herself).

Aw Everett. He's got most of them furious at him most of the time because he's such a slob. He's the only kid in the house who is actually best pals with both dogs. He's also in the red at the moment because he can't seem to shake those annoying wants for electronic pocket devices and to hire his girlfriend Brooke for their yard sale "business".

Elmer is in the green right now, probably thanks to his constant wants to be best friends with one of them or another. But, annoyingly, he's the first to initiate the Smustle if I'm not right there with one of the controllable adults to distract him when he gets off the bus. His only other "fault" is that he has a thing for his older brother's girlfriend, even though she won't have anything to do with him.

Despite her obvious lack of "nice", Enolia is the only kid who is best friends with every person in the house, with their long-term relationship points all being in the high 80's or 90's. She's also pregnant right now, which I'm not going to hold against her since this is the end of the challenge and all. e__e She's just barely managing keep her Aspiration hovering above the red, thanks to wanting to tell jokes or play with someone all the time.
