Prompt: Cat generally being awesome.
Rating: PG (barely, mostly it's implied)
Note: I was writing my O'Leery Epilogue just now when I realized this would work for a prompt, and I had a hard time deciding whether to use it for this prompt or "dominatrix"... (oh Cat, hehe) This scene may or may not end up in the epilogue when it's done.
Word Count: 310

Cathelain stomped over to the front door and wrenched it open when she realized the visitor wasn’t going to take a hint and stop ringing the freakin doorbell. “Can I help you?” She flung the words out in the most unwelcoming way possible.
An unfamiliar man smiled back at her. “Ah! Good morning! Mrs. O’Leery is it?” Cat impatiently nodded once. “Ah hello, Mrs. O’Leery, I’m Jacob Holloway,” He extended his hand but Cat ignored it, wishing he would get the hell to the point. “Ah,” he continued, withdrawing his hand, “your husband and I were supposed to meet today and discuss the terms of his purchase of my business. Is Trevor at home?”
“He’s home, but I’m afraid he’s tied up right now and can’t come to the door.” Cat moved to close the door, but Jacob stopped it with his hand. Cat narrowed her eyes at him dangerously, but he continued unaffected.
“Ah, well I don’t mind waiting. I don‘t have any other appointments today, and Trevor did mention a tour of your greenhouse. I‘m sure I can find my way around until he‘s available.”
“Mister, you don’t understand,” Cat leaned forward and spoke venomously, “he’s literally tied up. He won’t be coming to the door until I say he can, so you’ll just have to come back later.”
Jacob Holloway opened and closed his mouth twice before any sound came out, “Ah then, um…”
Cat glanced at her wrist as if looking at an invisible watch, “I’m going to have to say good bye now. I’ve got wax heating up on the stove and that stuff can’t get too hot or it will burst into flames. I’ll tell Trevor you were here.”
With a smile that looked more like a hungry snarl, Cat slammed the door and left Jacob Holloway confused and blinking on the front walk.
